LOGIX PROSPERS IN MARKET WHERE MANY HAVE FAILED

HOUSTON, TEXAS (June 16, 2006) – LOGIX’ C.O.O., Matt Asmus, in an interview on BIZ Network Radio on June 5th revealed LOGIX’ secret to success in a market segment that has caused bankruptcies for numerous telecom companies.

Brent Clanton of BIZ Radio Network was interested in SMART buildings and Mr. Asmus explained this market segment.  “SMART buildings are multi-tenant buildings pre-wired for digital connectivity and LOGIX has been doing this for several years now.  Wiring a building is a fairly expensive undertaking and companies like Winstar and Teligent came in and wired buildings, then tried to sell their services there.  Sometimes they were successful in a building and sometimes they were not.  When they were not they lost the initial cash outlay for that building, which ate up the profits from the buildings where they were successful.”

Mr. Asmus described LOGIX’ reverse approach to the market.  “We sell our core products in a building until an account base exists that makes it economically feasible to move to the next step of wiring the building.  Once the building is wired, the LOGIX customers in the building are converted to SMART products.  Customer penetration in SMART buildings is about 70%.  Word-of-mouth referrals from satisfied LOGIX’ SMART customers in a building to other tenants is a huge contributing factor to the high penetration rate.  Additionally, new tenants can be added to LOGIX’ service much faster in SMART buildings, making pre-wiring an attractive asset for building management to use in marketing lease space.  It’s a win/win/win proposition for building owners/tenants/LOGIX.”

When a building is being wired, LOGIX also installs equipment to provide Wi-Fi (wireless Internet service) as a free service to common areas in the building where the property manager wants it available.  Mr. Clanton asked about all the current hoopla concerning Wi-Fi in public areas being sponsored by the government and Mr. Asmus replied that there really does not seem to be that much public demand.  He thinks this is probably something better handled by private industry than government.

LOGIX received the invitation to participate in this interview as a major participant in the Dallas ITEC show, a major business tradeshow.  “The Dallas ITEC show is one of our key tradeshow events and we were very pleased with the turnout for this year’s show,” said Matt Asmus.  “Attendees were able to review many vendor products in a couple of hours without having to set up one-on-one meetings with vendors whose products are not compatible with their needs.”
